FAQ

Here are a few questions we are commonly asked about our organization. If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to reach out through our Contact Us page.

What exactly is consulting?

The reason that so many people are confused by consulting is a result of how diverse and wide-ranging the industry is. At its core, consulting is about helping organizations to solve problems. Organizations draw upon consultants to gain external advice and access specialized expertise. This can span across a variety of focuses from strategy, to HR, to financials, to management, to marketing, to technology, to sustainability. All of these different types of consulting can happen in nearly any industry imaginable: healthcare, education, tech, energy, government, and agriculture. Consulting is for anyone who likes variety, is good at solving problems, and wants to make an impact. It is an industry that many people pursue for a short period of time to help them develop both personally and professionally, and then pursue a range of exit opportunities

With a mission and vision that doesn’t mention consulting, why does LCG focus on consulting?

We focus on consulting because it is a tool kit where one can learn: problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. The skills consulting builds allows anyone to be an agent of change in any industry. If the time comes and you decide consulting is not for you then you have a valuable toolkit and set of experiences that can be widely applied.
